Other Great Resources for Helping Your Child To Read At Home
Be sure to check out Sora! Students can find this amazing reading app when they log into Clever. This program has many books that students are familiar with and the books in this program are teacher recommended. Back in November, I recommended all of the Raina Telgemeier books (Sisters, Smile, Guts) and they took my advice and put them on there!
Check out this book recommendation list from Scholastic. It is a great tool to help you buy books for your child at their reading level.
I love the app called Libby! It is an app that you can use on any iPod, iPad, iPhone or Kindle to borrow books from the Upper Hudson Library System. You simply log in using your identification number that is on the back of your library card and the last four digits of your phone number to begin borrowing free books. It is a great way to download books for your child to read. You can also download them to your computer and let your child read them on the computer.
